Day 1: Arrive in Uganda via Entebbe International Airport

Today arrive in your executive flight, reaching Entebbe International Airport, Early Trail Expeditions Uganda representative will be ready to pick you. This representative will be your drive for the rest of the days on your safari. The guide will brief you and transfer you to your booked hotel in Entebbe. Get rested after such long hours spent on the flight.

Day 2: Kampala City Tour

Have breakfast and start your journey to Kampala for a City Tour for 2 days and you will choose on the activities below. Visit Uganda Museum – Explore Uganda’s history, culture, and natural heritage. Visit Kasubi Tombs – UNESCO World Heritage site and burial grounds for Buganda kings. Visit Kabaka’s Palace (Lubiri) – Home to the Buganda Kingdom’s monarch. Visit Namirembe Cathedral – The oldest cathedral in Uganda, with panoramic city views. Visit Gaddafi National Mosque – One of Africa’s largest mosques; climb the minaret for city views.

Day 3: Transfer to Jinja with en-route to Sezibwa and Mabira Forest

This morning will drive to Jinja city eastwards from Kampala with a branch over to Sezibwa and explore these amazing waterfalls. The cool and authentic serene of the waterfalls makes the falls a special spot to consider. Then another en-route will be at Mabira Forest and spend the rest of the time here, will particularly undertake Zip lining adventure and sail under tree branches. Afterwards will have to drive for the remaining kilometers to Jinja and check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation:  Nile River Explorers Camp

Day 4: Water rafting and Bungee Jumping and Boat Ride to the source

This morning prepares for a supernatural adventure starting the morning session with white water rafting which is about 30 minutes’ drive along the Nile sailing. Rafting at Jinja on the source of the Nile is a world class rafting with 4 and 5 grades. The rafting takes about 3 to 4 hours and after will have to take a sip of an energizing drink and drive back to the bungee jumping spot. After the full packed day of adventure, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation:

Day 5: Transfer to Murchison En-route to Ziwa

This morning board for a drive from Jinja to Murchison Falls National Park. From Jinja to Ziwa it can be for about 5 hours depending on the traffic flow, will en-route to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to track the only wild rhinos in Uganda. The rhino track can last for about 2 to 3 hours alongside several antelopes, birds, warthogs among other wild animals. Then you will return to the starting point refresh and go for lunch refreshment. Proceed at the NP, reaching late evening at the lodge. Check in, refresh and have dinner and a night.

Day 6 – 8: Murchison Game Drive, Drive to the falls and Afternoon Boat cruise

After breakfast you will go for a game drive. You might spot animals like elephants, Buffalos, Impalas, Uganda Kobs and lions. Various birds can be spotted too and they include the African skimmer, Pink- Papyrus canary, Shoebill stork, martial eagle. Later return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch you will go for a boat cruise and drive to the top of the falls.  Dinner and overnight at the above lodge.

Day 9: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Enjoy breakfast and start your long, scenic journey to Kibale national park. This is a 5 – 6-hour drive and you will have lunch en-route in Fort portal city. Proceed to Kibale arriving late afternoon. Relaxation, Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Accommodation: Kluges Guest House

Day 10: Chimpanzee Trekking

Wake up to an early morning breakfast and head out to the park headquarters to attend briefing and later embark on the trek together with the park ranger guides. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale National Park contains one of the most beautiful and with the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda.  After trekking, you will drive to the lodge for lunch. Spend your evening relaxing at the lodge. Dinner and overnight as above.

Day 11: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today after breakfast you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Within this park there is Lake Edward and Lake George and the Kazinga channel. On arrival you will have lunch. You may spot animals like elephants, Buffaloes, Impalas, Uganda Kobs and lions. Various birds can be spotted too and they include the African skimmer, Papyrus canary, Shoebill stork, martial eagle. Day 12: Full day game drive in Queen Elizabeth NP

Today early morning with breakfast, you will drive to Kasenyi section of Queen Elizabeth National Park for an incredible game drive. The meaning of driving with packed breakfast is to enjoy morning bloody sunrise with a bit, it’s very amazing. One of the rewarding game drive with variety of wildlife species including; elephants, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, buffalos, lions, warthogs among so many species to watch accompanied by several bird species. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and later you go for another game drive in the park.

Day 13: Game Drive and Kazinga Boat Cruise

Today early morning with your packed breakfast will drive to Kasenyi section of Queen Elizabeth National Park for an incredible game drive. The meaning of driving with packed breakfast is to enjoy morning bloody sunrise with a bit, it’s very amazing. One of the rewarding game drive with variety of wildlife species including; elephants, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, buffalos, lions, warthogs among so many species to watch accompanied by several bird species.

In the afternoon hours with lunch en-route will drive to the Mweya peninsular, for a boat cruise on Kazinga channel. The wild boat cruise is an opening of watching more animals. Several animals are seen coming to the channel banks to draw water and the aquatic life seen either socked in water or lousily relaxed at water banks. Then, after will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight;

Day 14: Drive to Ishasha and Track Tree Climbing Lions

Today will take a drive to Ishasha sector to track the rare tree climbing lions. The lion tracked on a game drive through the golden savannah of Ishasha sector. The lions are in most cases seen lousily relaxed under tree branches. Will take both a morning drive and the afternoon drive where you can have a chance to see a lion successfully climbing. Still will have your overnight at the campsite. Accommodation: Ishasha Wilderness camp

Day 15: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP

After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP with enroute lunch. Reaching late afternoon, check in, refresh, relax at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Camping at Ruhija Community Camp site

Day 16: Gorilla Trekking

You will have early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for briefing by the ranger guide and later head into the forest trekking until you encounter the mountain gorillas.  This could take 2-4 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. On finding them, you will be allowed to spend one hour with these gentle giants and after trekking, you will eat your packed lunch from the lodge. Later return and transfer back to the lodge where you will unwind, have dinner and stay overnight as above. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 17: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Today will transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. Take a relaxed drive which can last for about 5 hours. Reaching the Lake will have to rest and its late afternoon hours. Dinner and overnight at your lodge. Accommodation: Bunyonyi Overland Resort

Day 18: Explore Lake Bunyonyi and transfer to Mgahinga

Today, take an early morning to explore this gorgeous historical Lake Bunyonyi. This lake is the 2nd deepest lake in Africa, and jewelled with a simple and unique landscape view. Reaching at the lake you will take a boat ride to one of the islands. Then transfer to Mgahinga reaching late evening, check in, relax, dinner and an overnight at the campsite. Day 19: Golden Monkey Tracking and Batwa Visit

This day you will hurry to go and track the endangered golden monkeys. The golden monkeys are only endemic to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda. The golden monkey tracking starts as early at 8am, so you have to be at the centre in Mgahinga by 7:30am for the morning session. The beautiful and nice-looking golden monkeys live in communities of over 30 individuals and more. These monkeys are habituated meaning tracker can have that close-up moment. The track in volcanic forests of Mgahinga can last for about 30 minutes to 3 hours and when found the brownish monkeys you have an hour in their presence. Afterwards will take a visit to the Batwa community and explore the lifestyle of the Batwa people. The Batwa people are also known as the forest pygmies who once co-lived with the gorillas in the same forest. These people narrate their emotionally touching stories, and offer entertainment moments with songs and dances. Can also decide to buy some of their handcraft to support their livelihood. Dinner and overnight as above

Day 20: Cross Uganda border to Rwanda and Drive to Volcanos National Park

Today with your morning refreshments will take a drive crossing Uganda’s border to Rwanda via Katuna border and driver to    Musanze. Check-in at your lodge relax and have your dinner and overnight there. Accommodation: Muhabura Lodge

Day 21: Golden Monkey trekking

After breakfast, you prepare to start journey to Rwanda. Volcanoes national park is located within the virunga massif that houses the mountain gorillas and the golden monkey alongside various mountaineering trips and winding roads in the land of a thousand hills.

After you lunch, you can visit the gorilla guardian’s village for a cultural experience from the former poachers of volcanoes national pack. Accommodation at Muhabura Lodge

Day 22: Transfer from Volcanoes national park to Nyanza Palace

Today we drive to Nyanza where you will visit the Nyanza Kings Palace, Murambi Genocide Memorial and other destinations along that route. Accommodation at Quiet Haven Hotel Nyanza

Day 23: Spend a day at Lake Kivu

Spend your day relaxed at the sand beaches of Lake Kivu, and meditating on the awesome moments of the trip. Refresh and reorganize yourself after long days of traversing almost the all of Rwanda. Will take a boat ride on Lake Kivu to one of the islands.

Day 24: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Today enjoy the morning breeze filled with direct hit of sunrise arrays. After the morning breakfast, will take a drive from Akagera coming back to Kigali and continue to Nyungwe Forest National Park. With lunch en-route at Kigali the drive can last for about 7 hours. Reaching the park, you will check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Muyumbu campsite

Day 25: Chimpanzee Tracking

Today follow your day program and consider a morning session chimpanzee tracking. The track means going to the forest and start a search for the apes, and it’s never a guarantee, but with testimonies at least the opportunities are much higher to watch the chimpanzees. Chimpanzee tracking at Nyungwe forest leads into the tea leaves contours, thick forests, bamboos, according to the trip kind of chimpanzee group to track. Chimpanzees at Nyungwe are habituated and trackers have a chance for a close-up encounter. The track can last between 30 minutes to about 3 hours searching for apes into the deep of the forest. And finding them, you have a limit of one hour in their presence. Then afterwards will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 26: Canopy Walks and Colobus Monkey Tracking

Consider this day to take this confidential and world class amazing canopy walk. The Nyungwe Canopy Walk is a world class through the stunning suspensions. The Canopy Walk leads over tallest forest overlooking the canopies which is an amazing encounter. After the lunch refreshments then will take an afternoon colobus monkey tracking which is an amazing adventure of Nyungwe. The colobus monkey tracking session is accompanied with several monkeys watched. The forest is thought to host about 13 primate species which makes it ideal to track primates.

Day 27: Transfer to Akagera National Park

This day will take a direct drive from northwestern of Rwanda to Akagera National Park in the eastern region. The drive means driving through Kigali and then will clearly drive to eastern border with Tanzania. The Akagera is the only savannah park where Rwanda get a chance to share on the East African savannah covering. Reaching the park with lunch en-route will take a rest and at night hours will take a night game drive. The night game drive is very rewarding with watching some of the predators actively hunting. The return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Muyumbu campsite

Day 28: Akagera Game Drive and Boat Cruise at Lake Ihema

Waking up in the news realms of savannahs under sun arrays is an awesome moment. You will realize the bright sun arrays heating directly on the golden savannah. Then, you will have to enjoy your served tailored breakfast. You’re now ready to embark for a morning nature walks through the savannah, and swampy landscapes of Kagera along the Akagera River. With lunch en-route will hurry for the afternoon boat cruiser on Lake Ihema watching crocodiles, hippos, several water birds like shoebill stork, kingfisher among others, along the cruise a number of land mammas are seen drawing and relaxing at the Lake Shore. Then will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 29 & 30: Rwanda – drive to Tanzania

After an early breakfast, you will prepare yourself for a long journey to Tanzania for about 2 days. You will pass by Rusumo border and cross to Tanzania passing by some of the most beautiful places such as Kahama, Singida, Dodoma to Dares salaam. You will be able to explore many places, meeting people across the road, eat different foods depending on the region and taking some break to walk around and meet people both in Tanzania and Rwanda.  Accommodation at Charming Bungalow

Day 31: Burigi Chato National Park

Begin your adventure with game drives in Burigi Chato National Park. This park is known for its diverse wildlife including elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and various bird species. Overnight: Star Light Hotel Biharamulo

Day 32: Transfer To Gombe National Park

Transfer to Gombe National Park, a journey that involves travel by road and boat. Gombe is renowned for its chimpanzee population and the pioneering research by Jane Goodall. Overnight: Tanapa Bandas

Day 33: Gombe National Park

Spend the day trekking through the forest to observe the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Enjoy guided forest walks, bird watching, and explore the beautiful waterfalls within the park. Overnight: Tanapa Bandas

Day 34: Transfer To Katavi National Park

Transfer to Katavi National Park. This remote park offers an off-the-beaten-path safari experience with large herds of buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. Overnight: Public Campsite

Day 35: Katavi National Park

Enjoy a full day of game drives in Katavi National Park. The park is less visited, offering a pristine wilderness experience. Watch out for the diverse wildlife and enjoy the serenity of the park. Overnight: Public Campsite

Day 36: Transfer To Ruaha National Park

Travel to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s largest national park, known for its large population of predators and diverse ecosystems. Overnight: Kiboko Public Campsite

Day 37 & 38: Ruaha National Park

Spend two days exploring Ruaha National Park. Engage in game drives to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, and other wildlife. Enjoy walking safaris and bird watching in the varied landscapes of the park. Overnight: Kiboko Public Campsite

Day 39: Transfer To Mikumi National Park

Transfer to Mikumi National Park. Known for its open horizons and abundant wildlife, Mikumi offers great game viewing experiences. Overnight: Camp Bastian Mikumi

Day 40: Mikumi National Park

Enjoy game drives in Mikumi National Park. The park is home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and various bird species. Overnight: Camp Bastian Mikumi

Day 41-42: Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve)

Transfer to Nyerere National Park, formerly known as Selous Game Reserve. Engage in boat safaris, game drives, and walking safaris over the next four days. The park is known for its rich wildlife and diverse habitats. Overnight: Tagalala Campsite

Day 58 & 59: Serengeti National Park

Another day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Take the opportunity to visit different regions of the park and observe the diverse ecosystems and wildlife. Overnight: Nguchiro Campsite

Day 60: Serengeti & depart to Kenya Via Isebania Border

Enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park before departing for Kenya. Cross the border at Isebania and continue your journey in Kenya.

Day 61: Isebania Border transfer to Maasai Mara

Arrival at Isebania Border and transfer to Maasai Mara. Overnight at a lodge or camp

Day 62: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Today our safari expedition will take us to the jewel of Kenya’s parks, the world famous Masai Mara Game (Wildlife) Reserve. This is Kenya’s number one park and is always on every bird watcher’s and wildlife tourists Masai Mara is home to the “Big Five” (Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard and Rhino) and over 450 bird species as such as Bare faced go away bird, Hooded vulture, Egyptian vulture, Flappet lark, Red necked fowl, etc. The Dinner & overnight tonight will be served at Rover Public campsite.

Day 63 & 64: Masai Mara Game Reserve

An early morning birding cum game drive after breakfast will be our perfect start of another unforgettable and memorable birding day in Africa. With picnic lunch en-route you spend your day in Mara Plains trying to identify and record the over 450 species recorded in this reserve. All meals and overnight tonight will be served at the lodge or camp.

Day 65: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru

After an early breakfast, drive from Masai Mara and Proceed to Lake Nakuru where you will see flamingos, more than 450 species of birds have been recorded here. The park has also been established for the protection of endangered species such as the rhino and is also home to Columbus monkeys, Leopards, Giraffes, and a variety of plain antelope. Lunch will be served at camp or lodge. An afternoon game drive around the lake shore will be the main feature for the afternoon, dinner & overnight at Enjoro campsite.

Day 66: Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, spend the whole day bird watching and trying to come up with the total list of 450 different species found here. Dinner & overnight tonight will be served as above camp.

Day 67: Lake Nakuru to Lake Bogoria

After breakfast, we proceed to the jewel of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Bogoria. Described as the “Most beautiful view in Africa” by Bishop Hannington, the lake is well known for its Hot springs and geysers, which are spread out along its southern shores. The hot sulfur water gushing out of the ground is known to have therapeutic values. These natural spas and their steam are Mother Nature’s version of a bath & sauna. After a relaxing bird walk around the lake, your lunch will be served at Lake Bogoria Hotel. Later in the after you will enjoy an extensive bird walk around the lake and the lodge environs, here we expect to find a variety of species as such as Woodland kingfisher, Northern puff back, White headed buffalo weaver, Rufous crowned roller, African golden oriole, African hoope e.t.c. Our dinner and overnight will be served at Lake Bogoria Hotel or camp

Day 68: Lake Bogoria to Lake Baringo

After breakfast we drive further north to Lake Baringo, one of the leading ornithology lakes in East Africa, more than 470 bird species call this area home. Our bird walk today will feature the following rare species e.g. White-faced scops owl, Bristol crowned starling, Goliath heron, Fan tailed raven etc. A relaxing boat ride on the lake will be the feature of the afternoon. Dinner and overnight tonight will be served at Lake Baringo Hotel or camp

Day 69: Lake Baringo to Saiwa Swamp

Today our birding safari will depart Lake Baringo and drive towards Saiwa Swamp National Park in Kitale, the only exceptional Park in Kenya enjoyed exclusively on foot and birding landmarks. Lunch to be served in the Hotel at Kitale Town before afternoon bird walk. The birding menu for today will be Great blue turaco, Ross turaco, Ludher’s bush shrike, White capped robin chat, Grey crown crane etc. Dinner and overnight stay at a Hotel at Kitale Town.

Day 70: Saiwa Swamp to Kakamega Forest

Depart to Kakamega Forest, covers an area of 240sq.km is a living remnant of the original equatorial rainforest, which once extended from Guinea in the west, to East and Central Africa for a fulfilling and eventful day of bird watching in this only & unique remaining rain forest with some of very rare and spectacular bird species in the world e g Grey Parrot, Great blue and Black billed turacos, blue headed bee eaters, Turner’s eremomela, Little grey greenbul etc. if one of your ambitions is to experience the enchanting mystery of the jungle,….the melody of singing birds, the breeze whispering trees, the croaking frogs, the rasp of butterflies as they fly on by, the cheeky monkeys as they swing from branch to branch…All meals at Hotel. Dinner and overnight tonight will be served at Kakamega Hotel.

Day 71: Kakamega to Lake Victoria

A morning lecture on the birds of this small forest which harbours over 380 different plant species, 50 of which have traditional medicinal value, some endemic animal species, 400 butterfly species and 330 bird species at an altitude of between 1500-1700m followed by a walk to try and identify the available rare species of this equatorial forest. Lunch at Kakamega Golf Hotel followed by a short drive to Lake Victoria where we will do a late afternoon birding around the lake for fresh water birds’ species e.g. African open bill stork, Swamp flycatcher, Red chested sunbird, Hammerkop, Eastern grey plantain-eater etc. Dinner and overnight tonight will be served at the Hotel.

Day 72: Lake Victoria to Lake Naivasha

Today after an early breakfast, our safari will be destined for Lake Naivasha, the only freshwater lake in the Rift Valley. From the top of the Rift Valley escarpment, you can see the lake sparkling under the sun thousands of feet below you. The lake is home to a large colony of hippos and it’s also a Mecca for bird watchers and researchers since over 400 different species of birds have been recorded here e.g. Long toed plover, Great white egret, Grey headed gull, Southern pochard, Red billed teal and not mention the Lilly trotter. The lake location and wildlife make it an ideal place for an afternoon boat ride. A visit to the liberating Crescent Island, which is completely undeveloped, wild and free, is one of the few places on earth where you can wander/walk on foot among herds of zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, giraffe and dik diks. There are no predators and no fences so it will be quite a liberating and exciting feeling to walk among the wildlife. Lunch will be served at the tranquil Lake Naivasha Country Club. Dinner and overnight tonight will be served at Lake Naivasha lodge or camp.

Day 73 & 74: Lake Naivasha and Hell’s Gate

After breakfast, a morning bird walks with the aim of viewing birds on the shores of the Lake with a few hours of relaxation before lunch. Afternoon visit to Hell’s Gate National Park, which is breeding ground for vultures in Kenya e.g. Lammergeyer vultures. Dinner & overnight tonight will be served at Lake Naivasha lodge or camp.

Day 75: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park

After an early morning breakfast, we proceeded to Amboseli, beautifully situated beneath the foot of Africa’s highest mountain Mt. Kilimanjaro (5895m), the park is well renowned for its huge herds of elephants and various types of other Savannah wildlife such as Giraffes, Bushbuck’s, Kudu, Warthog’s, Zebra’s and over 425 species of birds recorded here such as White faced whistling duck, Brown snake eagle, Yellow billed stork, Woolly necked stork, Shikra, Helmeted guinea fowl, African cuckoo. Enjoy a birding game drive en-route, as we arrive in time for your dinner at Amboseli Community campsite.

Day 76: Amboseli National Park

After breakfast it will be the perfect time for photographing the humbling and magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro is the highest peak in Africa. With picnic lunch you depart your lodge for a full day birding section with our eagle eyed birding guide. Please take this opportunity to add a new specie in your birding list. Dinner and overnight tonight will be served as above.

Day 77 & 78: Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tsavo West with an en route birding where habitat is relatively dense thicket of savanna dominated by acacia-Commiphora bush land with Baobab, grassy plains, riverine woodland, the Mzima Springs. The park is also famous for the autumn bird ringing at the Ngulia Safari Lodge with thousands of European and Asian Palearctic migrants on their way south. Overnight at Ngulia lodge or camp.

Day 79: Tsavo West to Taita Hills

We bird in the park en route heading for Taita Hills Forest where we hope to see the endemics “Taita Three” Apalis, White-eye and Thrush. Other specialties include Striped Pipit, Yellow-throated Woodland Warbler, Striped-cheeked Greenbul. Overnight at a lodge or camp.

Day 80: Taita Hills to Shimba Hills

After leisure morning breakfast, depart for Mombasa either driving arriving Mombasa at Mid -Morning hours and later be transferred to Shimba Hills National Reserve, Located 48kms from Mombasa town. The hills have a heterogeneous mosaic of vegetation, including grassland, scrub and exotic plantations as well as forest. Certainly, holding one of the largest areas of coastal forest in East Africa after Arabuko Sokoke Forest. Here, globally threatened species, restricted-range species, East African Coast biome species occur here among them, Southern banded Snake Eagle, Fischer’s Turaco, Spotted Ground Thrush, Sokoke Pipit, East Coast Akalat, Plain Backed Sunbird, Ayres’s hawk Eagle, Crowned Eagle, African Pitta, little Yellow Flycatcher, Mangrove Kingfisher, Eastern Green Tinkerbird, Tiny greenbul, Chestnut-fronted Helmetshrike, Green headed Oriole among many more. Lunch at the lodge or camp. All meals at the lodge or camp.

Birds at the Coast

Day 81: Shimba Hills to Arabuko Sokoke Forest

After an early morning breakfast, proceed with our safari to Arabuko-sokoke forest. Has an area of 41,600 ha at an altitude of 0-21m above the sea level. It was proclaimed a crown forest in 1932 and gazetted 1943 covering an area of 2,700 ha added in 1968. Arabuko-sokoke has three types of habitats namely; Mixed Forest 7,000 ha, Brachystegia woodland 7,700 ha on white, very infertile soil and Cynometra forest 11,300 ha with a canopy height of 7-8 m. Here we target species like Sokoke scops owl, Clarke’s Weaver, Amani sunbird, Ant-eater thrush, Eastern Nicator, Mombasa woodpecker, Fischer Greenbul, Pale Batis, among other globally threatened species that only occur in this forest. All meals, dinner and overnight will be served at the beach hotel.

Day 82: Arabuko Sokoke to Mida Creek

After breakfast, transfer to Mida Creek for photographing the humbling and magnificent Mangrove Forest (the magical trees) of Mida creek.

Day 83 & 84: Mida Creek to Sabaki River Mouth

After breakfast, it will be the perfect time for photographing the humbling and magnificent Mangrove Forest (the magical trees) of Mida creek. Mida creek has an area of 26100 ha and stretches for almost 40 km along the seashores and it’s a fascinating world of cultures to discover, lying at 0-10 m above the sea level. Area comprises a complex of marine and tidal habitats on Kenya’s north coast, stretching from just south of Malindi town southwards to beyond the entrance of Mida creek. Habitats include inter-tidal rock, sand and mud, fringing reefs and coral gardens; beds of seagrass; coral cliffs, platforms and islets; sand beaches; and mangrove forests. The sand dunes are a great workout to build leg muscles and the tiny sand granules are fantastic as they massage every nerve of your foot – it’s natural reflexology. Our species of focus will include among others the Crab plover, Terek Sandpiper, Mangrove kingfisher, Greater Sand plover, Eurasian Oystercatcher among others. All meals, dinner and overnight will be served at the beach hotel.

Day 85: Sabaki River Mouth to Nairobi

After breakfast at your beach hotel, you will transfer from Sabaki River Mouth to Nairobi. Arrival in Nairobi and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Red Buffalo House Hotel in Nairobi.

Day 86: Nairobi City Tour

Explore Kenya’s rich cultural and natural heritage and art. David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust: Visit the elephant orphanage and learn about elephant conservation efforts. You may have the chance to see baby elephants being fed and playing in the mud. Giraffe Centre: Get up close and personal with the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. Learn about giraffe conservation and even feed the giraffes. Bomas of Kenya: Experience Kenya’s diverse cultures through traditional dances, music, and drama. You will also have an opportunity to explore replicas of traditional homesteads. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Nairobi.

Day 87: Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, transfer from Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located at the foot of Mount Kenya. Arrive at your camp/lodge within Ol Pejeta and check in. Game Drive: Head out on an afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta is known for its population of endangered species, including the northern white rhino. Dinner and overnight stay at a camp or lodge within Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Day 88: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Learn about Ol Pejeta’s various conservation projects, including their efforts to protect rhinos and other endangered species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the conservancy. Continue with the game drive, possibly visiting the rhino memorial site and learning more about the conservancy’s history. Return to your camp/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 89: Ol Pejeta to Nairobi

After breakfast, check out from your accommodation and prepare for departure. Drive back to Nairobi, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to the hotel for rest.

Day 90: Transfer to the Airport for departure

After breakfast at the hotel, you will drive to the Airport for departure back home depending on your flight time.
